Advocacy Evaluation Project
The Advocacy Evaluation Project aims to stimulate conversation and progress in the growing field of advocacy evaluation. Begun in December 2005 with funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies, and with additional support in 2007 from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, this research and resource-gathering initiative hopes to move the field to:
- Share and discuss what works—and what doesn't—in evaluating advocacy;
- Consider the fundamental components of advocacy efforts—not only lobbying, litigation, and public education, but also capacity building, networking, relationship building, communication, issue framing, and leadership development;
- Derive lessons from the wealth of resources already available, and develop practical new resources for practitioners.
